After 15 long years, one of the biggest night of music is returning to New York City. New York Times reported that, Mayor Bill De Blasio has come to an agreement with executives from Madison Square Garden, CBS and the Recording Academy that they will be bringing the Awards Ceremony back to The Big Apple, which the main ceremony will be held on January 28th, 2018.
According to Mr. De Blasio, "There is no better place for music's biggest night than the World's greatest city." However the news wasn't unexpected to the music industry since it's been negotiating for months between the city, MSG, its Labour Unions and the Academy which is in charge of presenting the Awards.
Mr.De Blasio also further explained that, "Bringing these awards back to (here) will allow everyone to further support and foster the music industry in New York."
